Commissioned by Plymouth City Council to deliver services to businesses and communities in Plymouth or to those businesses with over 50% of their employees having a Plymouth postcode.

Champions

The Wellbeing Champion Programme is a unique offer available only to those businesses, communities and people living and working in Plymouth. We take pride in our programme, providing evidence-based training, access to resources, networking opportunities and support from a dedicated team.

As a Wellbeing Champion, you will have a passion for health and wellbeing. You will take on an active role to enhance the physical health and mental wellbeing of others, to develop healthier and happier environments.

You will do this by sharing information on physical health and mental wellbeing, signposting to other support services, and raising awareness of local and national health promotion campaigns.

As a result of the impact of the programme, we have a network of over 600 wellbeing champions across Plymouth, all working towards making our city healthier for all.

What can you expect from joining the Wellbeing Champion Programme?

Having a Wellbeing Champion is essential for any business or community. You can access training either virtually or in-person, tailored to your specific needs.

Access to the programme begins with a comprehensive 2-day training package, providing all the necessary skills and knowledge you’ll need to begin your role. Upon completion, you will receive a Wellbeing Champion Starter Pack, and be able to access regular updates on health campaigns, wellbeing resources, and opportunities to participate in competitions and events.

In return, we ask you to stay connected with us, meet with us at your business or community, inform us of your wellbeing initiatives, participate in networking opportunities, and connect with other like-minded individuals.

Greg Price: Manager of Wellbeing at Work, overseeing all three Wellbeing programmes.
