Commissioned by Plymouth City Council to deliver services to businesses and communities in Plymouth or to those businesses with over 50% of their employees having a Plymouth postcode.

Terms & Conditions

Once our team has been notified of your training request, we will aim to contact you within 5 working days to advise you on how best we can facilitate. We will also seek to resolve any of your questions or concerns at this time, and, if needed, set up an MS Teams call to discuss the most suitable training opportunity directly with our trainers.

For paid courses please note, as part of our training offer we aim to work fairly supporting businesses, communities and voluntary groups across Plymouth, and our pricing structure varies to reflect this. Our first step will be to discuss costs with you once your training request form has been submitted before any provisional dates have been offered.

When conducting our course planning, we always try to work flexibly to meet your needs, whilst taking into consideration our trainer capacity. With that in mind, we require at least six weeks from the date you have completed our form, to the start date of your chosen course(s). Please note, that at least two dates will be emailed to you to choose from. After a training date(s) have been agreed upon, we will begin setting up your course online so delegates can register their names. This link will be private and only distributed to those who intend to book the training. This process may vary depending on the course you have requested.

If you request an MHFA Refresher course, delegates must have completed the ‘MHFA two days’ within 3 years. If longer than this period, we recommend completing the MHFA two-day course again.

If you are requesting Wellbeing Champions (two days), we recommend that once completed all delegates complete Connect 5: Session 2 and 3 within the following six months.

For our paid courses, please note the following minimum and maximum delegate numbers:

  • Mental Health First Aid: Minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 delegates.
  • Mental Health First Aid Refresher: Minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 delegates.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training: Minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 delegates.

For all other courses, our team will inform you of the minimum and maximum numbers required for the training to take place. Please be aware, that if your team is unable to fulfil the numbers, we may contact you to merge with another organisation, voluntary or community group.

Spaces must be booked, and names must be provided 14 days before the start date of all of our courses. This allows our team to carry out all essential administration, including sending any important information and course material to delegates before completing the training. If details have not been provided before the 14-day timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel the session and offer the next available date.

When delivering training our staff should always be treated with respect. Some of the content in our training sessions can be challenging, but our trainers are there to support delegates to explore these challenges together. Our trainers reserve the right to end training delivery at any point if delegates are not behaving respectfully and kindly.

For all paid courses, invoicing will take place once the training has been completed. We will notify you once an invoice for the cost of the course per delegate has been raised with our finance team. Please be aware that if any learner is unable to complete the training, but writes in or takes away a workbook, you will still be invoiced for this cost.

To discuss course costs or further queries, please email us at livewell.workplacehealth@nhs.net.

Thank you for choosing Wellbeing Training and we look forward to working with you soon.
