Pushed Achieve Bronze

Pushed, an animation and video production company, is celebrating after achieving Bronze status within the Wellbeing at Work Award programme and receiving recognition for its work to improve the health and wellbeing of its staff.  Pushed is the first micro-business to achieve a Wellbeing at Work Award.

Pushed has been working alongside Wellbeing at Work for the last few years and has an established Wellbeing Champion, an annual health needs assessment, and a health and wellbeing steering group.

Jennifer Jenkins, Specialist Health Improvement Practitioner, at Livewell Southwest, said: “Pushed is a micro-business who have always embraced wellbeing within their small organisation.  Taking part in the Wellbeing at Work Awards programme has enabled Pushed to bring focus and formalise wellbeing within the workplace.  The small team, who mostly work remotely, engage in workplace challenges, team lunches, virtual walking meetings, fresh fruit at face-to-face meetings, and staff have access to a wide range of wellbeing resources if they need them.  Pushed is fully committed to embracing wellbeing in their business and considers it in everything that they do.’

In order to achieve a Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award, businesses have to set up a working group, carry out a workplace needs assessment, a health and safety assessment and establish Wellbeing Champions who are responsible for helping colleagues to keep healthy.  Throughout the process they are supported by a Wellbeing at Work Advisor who offers support and guidance.

Karen Meadows, Marketing Director and Owner, Pushed, said: “We recognise as a Company how important the well-being of our colleagues is to our business.  Therefore, it is with huge delight to be awarded and recognised as the first micro-business to achieve the Bronze Wellbeing at Work Award demonstrating our commitment to the team of their workplace wellbeing.  I would like to thank the Wellbeing team for their support as we continue on the Wellbeing at Work pathway.”

Pushed will formally receive recognition for their Bronze award at the Wellbeing at Work conference held annually in April. This is delivered in partnership with the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
