Skills Group is celebrating after achieving bronze status within the Wellbeing at Work Award programme and receiving recognition for its work to improve the health and wellbeing of its staff.
To achieve a Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award, businesses must set up a working group, carry out a workplace needs assessment, and a health and safety assessment and establish Wellbeing Champions who are responsible for helping colleagues to keep healthy. Throughout the process, they are supported by a Wellbeing at Work Advisor who offers support and guidance.
Jennifer Jenkins, Specialist Health Improvement Practitioner, at Livewell Southwest, said: “Skills Group have embraced wellbeing in their organisation by adopting Wellbeing Champions, a Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy, and a health and wellbeing action plan. Wellbeing Champions plan to deliver healthy lifestyle advice around mental health, menopause, stopping smoking, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, and physical activity. Regular action planning meetings are planned to help deliver these initiatives in the workplace. Skills Group have a well organised approach which will ensure successful implementation of wellbeing in the workplace.”
Skills Group is delighted to have achieved bronze status within the Wellbeing at Work Award programme; we are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our team and already have 7 wellbeing champions in our organisation to support this. We are excited to start working towards achieving silver status within the Wellbeing at Work Award and cannot thank the team at Livewell Southwest enough for their support.
