Discovery MAT is celebrating after achieving bronze status within the Wellbeing at Work Award programme and receiving recognition for its work to improve the health and wellbeing of its staff.
To achieve a Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award, businesses must set up a working group, carry out a workplace needs assessment, and establish wellbeing champions responsible for helping colleagues stay healthy. Throughout the process, they are supported by Wellbeing at Work Advisor.
Greg Price, Health Improvement Manager, at Livewell Southwest, said:
‘’Discovery MAT has done so much in achieving this wellbeing at work bronze award. Staff have been trained up as wellbeing champions, giving them the skills to support colleagues and be advocates for health and wellbeing. They now have a comprehensive staff wellbeing action plan that will help them continue building a positive culture of wellbeing at work. The wellbeing at work team looks forward to continuing to support this priority’’.
Alison Nettleship, Chief Executive Officer, of Discovery Multi Academy Trust, said:
“Completing the Wellbeing at Work award has allowed Discovery MAT the opportunity to review existing support for staff within our Trust. Wellbeing has always been important to us and our Mental Health and Wellbeing Leads continually work with the team to find creative ways to support and guide our staff and children. We have a fantastic team and as our most valuable resource this award recognises our commitment to them.”
