Alstom Engineering and Services Ltd proudly announces its achievement of bronze status in the Wellbeing at Work Award program, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of its employees.
To earn the Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award, organisations must establish a dedicated working group, conduct a thorough workplace health needs assessment, empower wellbeing champions to actively support their colleagues in leading healthier lives, and develop a robust action plan. Throughout this process, they benefit from the guidance of a Wellbeing at Work Advisor within the Wellbeing at Work team.
Greg Price, Health Improvement Manager at Livewell Southwest, stated:
“John and the team at Alstom have worked very hard to integrate the bronze award criteria into their health and wellbeing strategy. John’s commitment and passion for this work have been evident from the start, and we are delighted that they have achieved this award, showcasing the importance of staff wellbeing to them.”
John Durston, EHS Manager at Alstom Engineering and Services Ltd, remarked:
“Starting on the health and wellbeing journey can be daunting, but every journey begins with a first step. For us, that step was identifying individuals within the organization who were eager to improve health and wellbeing. The training and resources provided by the Wellbeing at Work Team, part of Livewell Southwest, have significantly boosted our ability to offer the support our colleagues need and address persistent taboos, especially concerning mental health.
“With the resources available to our Wellbeing Champions and our various activities, we are recognized by Alstom as being among the top tier of UK sites for health and wellbeing. Health and wellbeing are important to Alstom, and the efforts of our champions support the company’s Health and Wellbeing strategy. Our journey continues with the goal of continuously improving our health and wellbeing initiatives, supporting our colleagues and aiming for a silver award.”
Congratulations to Alstom on their achievement of the bronze award. We look forward to your continued improvement in workplace wellbeing and your pursuit of the silver award!
